Measurements that hold up

Easy ScaleTags will keep things to scale. A laser if you need precision.

A 360° camera sees everything. ScaleTags in every kit tell the model how big it is, so a broker’s tour and floor plan need nothing more. For designers, architects and large spaces, add a laser measure.

  1. 01ScaleTags, in every kitPrinted markers of a known size. Hang a few around each room and floor before you walk, where the camera can see them, and the camera knows the scale.
  2. 02Laser measure, optionalFor designers, architects and large spaces. Accurate up to 200 ft, for maximum flexibility: confirm the dimensions that matter on site, like a wall length or a ceiling height. More advanced laser measures are available for bigger properties.

The FrontView cloud turns the walk into a record.

When you're done, there's nothing to install and no files to stitch. FrontView's cloud service processes the capture and files it under the building's address in your account.

Facade & roof, top to bottom.

Your kit captures the storefront, the entrance and the street-level facade, and the roof too if you can walk it. Everything above the ground floor, our licensed drone pilots fly, and file under the same dated record.

  • Ground level: you, with the kitCaptured during your walkthrough. No extra visit.
  • Upper facade, cornices & roof: FrontView drone Add-onRequest it through the intake form. We schedule the flight.
  • Rooftop equipment, pinnedRooftop units, drains and bulkheads become points of interest, compared at every capture.

Where drones can’t fly. Some airspace, in dense city centers especially, is closed to drones. There we capture upper facades and roofs from street level, from poles, from neighboring roofs, or on foot where there is roof access.

Questions

About the kit

What camera is in the kit?
The Insta360 X6, Insta360’s latest flagship 360° camera: 8K at 50 fps, 1/1.1-inch sensors and a 4 nm chip with three AI cores, on an invisible selfie stick. It comes with ScaleTags, a spare battery, memory cards and the FrontView app, available to lease or buy. A laser measure is optional.
Do I need scanning experience?
No. The kit and the process are easy to use: press record and walk the space at a steady pace. The app tells you what’s missing before you leave, FrontView sets the kit up for how you’ll use it, and if you get stuck, help is a click away.
What if I need help?
A person at FrontView is a click away, by email or phone, before, during and after a capture.
What are ScaleTags? Do I need a laser measure?
ScaleTags are printed markers of a known size. Hang a few around each room and floor before you walk, where the camera can see them, and the camera knows the scale. For most captures, like a broker’s tour and floor plan, that’s all you need. A laser measure is optional, for designers, architects and large spaces: it’s accurate up to 200 ft, for maximum flexibility, to confirm the dimensions that matter on site. More advanced laser measures are available for bigger properties.
How long does a capture take?
About as long as it takes to walk the space at a steady pace. The app tells you when coverage is complete.
Who processes the capture?
FrontView does, in the FrontView cloud. The capture uploads itself on Wi-Fi, and the 3D model, the floor plan and the photos come back the same day. There’s no software to install.
Can you capture it for me?
Yes. FrontView capture is an add-on: the FrontView team walks the building with the same kit, and the capture lands in your account. Drone facade & roof capture can be added too. Request it through the intake form.
Who can get a kit?
Brokers, owners, operators, interior designers, architects and others who walk commercial buildings. Fill in the intake form, and a person at FrontView reviews it.
How do I get the kit?
Send the intake form. Once a person at FrontView has reviewed it and agreed the terms with you, FrontView sends the kit, set up for how you’ll use it.
