FrontView Capture

You request it. FrontView scans it.

A FrontView technician brings a professional-grade LiDAR SLAM scanner, set to its highest resolution, scans the building inside and out, and pins the equipment that matters. Nobody on your team carries a camera, sets anything up or learns any software. The record lands in your account.

How FrontView captures

Professional LiDAR. Nothing to set up.

LiDAR measures every surface directly, so the record is to scale from the moment it’s scanned.

On every visit
  • 01A LiDAR SLAM scannerProfessional-grade, set to its highest resolution: it measures walls, columns, ceilings and equipment as the technician walks.
  • 02Its built-in camerasColor for the 3D model, listing-quality stills, and close-ups of nameplates and condition.
  • 03A laser measureChecks distances on every capture, and confirms the dimensions that matter for designers, architects and fit-outs.
  • 04A drone, where drones can flyUpper facades and roofs, on the same visit.
Nothing to set upNo markers, no targets, no tape measure: the scanner measures the space directly.
One standardThe same class of scanner and the same process on every capture, so two dates line up.
Processed on top-line GPUsThe scan becomes a measurable 3D model and floor plan, reviewed before it reaches your account.
Checked on site

Every space covered, before the technician leaves.

The technician checks coverage on site against the plan, so a missed room is scanned again that day, not discovered after the visit.

  1. 01Coverage, checked on siteThe scan fills in floor by floor, and the technician closes every gap before leaving.
  2. 02Points of interest, pinnedAt each panel, boiler and rooftop unit, the technician adds a point with close-ups of the nameplate and condition.

What every capture includes

One visit. Everything the record needs.

  • Every space you’ve given access to, floor by floor
  • The street-level facade, and the roof where there’s access
  • A measurable 3D model and a measured floor plan
  • Photos, and close-ups at every point of interest
  • The capture date, and the method used
  • Every source file, yours to download: point cloud, 3D model, plans, photos and data
  • A coverage note: any space that couldn’t be captured, and why
Before the visit

What FrontView needs from you.

That’s the whole list. No prep, no markers, nothing to install.

  • AccessKeys, codes or a person on site, for every space you want captured.
  • Lights onAnd doors open where possible.
  • A heads-up about occupied spacesSo tenants know when FrontView is coming.
  • Where to parkAnd how to get the equipment in.
Where FrontView works

New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Philadelphia.

FrontView’s own technicians cover the region. Elsewhere in the United States, trusted partners scan with the same class of scanner, and FrontView processes and reviews every capture itself. Visits are by request and availability, and turnaround depends on the building’s size and complexity.

Facade & roof, top to bottom.

On the same visit, the technician scans the storefront, the entrance and the street-level facade, and the roof where there’s access. Everything above the ground floor, licensed drone pilots fly, and file under the same dated record.

  • Ground level: the same visitScanned with the interior. No extra trip.
  • Upper facade, cornices & roof: FrontView drone Add-onAdd it when you request the capture. FrontView schedules the flight with the visit.
  • Rooftop equipment, pinnedRooftop units, drains and bulkheads become points of interest, compared at every capture.

Where drones can’t fly. Some airspace, in dense city centers especially, is closed to drones. There, FrontView captures upper facades and roofs from street level, from poles, from neighboring roofs, or on foot where there is roof access.

Questions

About FrontView Capture

What equipment does FrontView use?
Professional-grade LiDAR SLAM scanners, set to their highest resolution for the best accuracy: they map the building as the technician walks it, so nothing has to be placed in the building first. A laser measure confirms the dimensions that matter, a drone flies the upper facade and roof where drones can fly, and top-line GPUs process the scan.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Access to the spaces you want captured, the lights on, and a heads-up about occupied spaces. No markers, no targets, nothing to install.
How long does a visit take?
It depends on the building’s size and how many floors it has. FrontView tells you when it confirms the visit.
When is the record ready?
It depends on the building’s size and complexity. Visits are by request and availability, and FrontView gives you the timing when it confirms the visit.
Where does FrontView work?
FrontView’s own technicians work across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Philadelphia. Elsewhere in the United States, FrontView works through trusted partners who scan with the same class of scanner, and FrontView processes and reviews every capture itself. FrontView works only in the United States.
Can you capture occupied spaces?
Yes. Say so in the intake form, and FrontView plans the visit around the people working there. FrontView captures only the spaces you’ve arranged access to.
What if a space is locked or off-limits?
The technician captures every space that’s accessible, and the capture’s coverage note lists any space that wasn’t, and why. When it opens up, request a recapture and it joins the same record.
Do you capture the facade and roof?
Yes, on the same visit. The technician scans the street-level facade, and the roof where there’s access. Above the ground floor, licensed drone pilots capture the upper facade and the roof as an add-on. Where drones can’t fly, upper facades and roofs are captured from street level, poles, neighboring roofs or on foot.
What happens between captures?
The record stays as captured: hosted, shared and downloadable whenever you need it. When something changes, at a lease start or end, after a fit-out or an incident, request a recapture, or let the record’s schedule remind you.
Who sees the record?
Only you, and the people you choose to share it with. FrontView, and every partner it works with, never tells other people what was captured, or for whom.
What does it cost?
Each capture is priced by the building’s size and complexity: floor area, floors, occupancy, access, travel, and add-ons like drone facade & roof or laser-confirmed dimensions. A person at FrontView confirms the price in writing before the visit is scheduled. Priced per building, never per seat.

Request a capture. FrontView does the rest.
